I Dreamt of this Reality

Awaken to this darkest beauty

taken from the vision beyond redemption.

The light from the sun

took me to another place.

I can’t seem to recall where I was

and how I got here.

The shadow from the trees

followed as I walked forward.

I saw the eagle and it cried for prey.

I’ve seen this place

one too many times.

I believe I know all too well.

The sun was setting.

The scent of rain had taken over.

I was completely alone,

but not alone at all.

The desert surrounded me

with all its wonders.

I fell to the ground and

awoke to finally realize

it had all been a dream

within a reality.
